Dr. B. Neeraja Prabhakar serves as the Vice-Chancellor of Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU), where she has been instrumental in advancing horticultural education and research. In June 2023, Dr. Prabhakar was appointed Chairperson of the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) for the ICAR-Indian Institute of Oil Palm Research (IIOPR) in Pedavegi, Andhra Pradesh. In this role, she leads a ten-member committee dedicated to guiding research initiatives that address challenges faced by oil palm farmers nationwide. Her involvement is expected to significantly contribute to the growth and development of India's oil palm industry.

She emphasizes the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Blockchain, Precision Farming, Internet of Things (IoT), and Drone Technology to enhance agricultural practices.
