Adv. Smt. Hari Chandana Dasari

Hari Chandana Dasari is a distinguished Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2010 batch, serving in the Telangana cadre. Born on August 31, 1984, in Hyderabad, India, she has established herself as a dynamic leader committed to sustainable development, women's empowerment, and community engagement. 

Hari Chandana has held several key positions throughout her career. As Zonal Commissioner of GHMC, she led urban infrastructure projects and introduced innovative waste management practices. She later served as Collector and District Magistrate of Narayanpet and Nalgonda, focusing on community development, skill enhancement, and public welfare. Currently, she is the Special Secretary in the Roads & Buildings Department, Government of Telangana, contributing to infrastructure development. 

Hari Chandana's academic journey is both diverse and impressive. She completed her undergraduate studies in Economics, Political Science, and Public Administration at St. Ann's College, Hyderabad. She then pursued a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Hyderabad. Furthering her education, she obtained a Postgraduate degree in Environmental Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE), UK. 

Hari Chandana, known as an "Eco Warrior," promoted sustainability by recycling 25 million metric tons of plastic waste into paver tiles and developing India’s first pet park in Hyderabad. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she empowered women through mask-making and food production, generating 4,000+ jobs and ₹50 lakh in profits. She launched "She Toilets" for women's sanitation, Aarunya to support rural artisans via e-commerce, and T-Consult, a telemedicine initiative ensuring accessible healthcare.
